Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! We are finally able to order from the fabulous 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Catalog! Today I have a quick little card – it’s simple – it’s two main features are: it uses the refill – filled aquapainters again – for splatters this time! AND I show you a fun way to get some color inspiration for those of you who claim to be color challenged.
Here is the tutorial – and you can also see the Designer Elements embellishments up close and in use! They are the thank you gift for June’s online purchases. More on that below.
This stamp set is part of a bundle – it comes with the Stitched Lace Dies – which I have used several times, but not yet with the stamp set. I have included one more tutorial for the dies below. The more I work with them (and have now used them in a shoebox swap with other demonstrators) the more tips and tricks I pick up with them. So don’t balk at getting them because of how intricate they are! This video is a snippet taken from a recent Facebook Live. You do NOT NEED ANYTHING SPECIAL to make the dies work. Just your basic die cutting tools!
Now – back to today’s card….
Every year when Stampin’ Up! introduces their new line of In Colors……just venture out into the world and guess what?! You discover that yes, in fact, they ARE in! Here is a shirt that got from the designer Vera Wang.
I don’t know about you, but I can guess you did not see those three new colors and immediately think of putting them together to create a card?
I did add a couple of colors from the regular color line to round it out. On my Facebook Page (Cheri’s Cards) as part of Catalog Kick off Week – I am going to be issuing a real world Color Challenge!! Win some free stamp swag from me by participating! Head over later this week to check out the details.
This is the 3rd card in a row that I have used my refill in Aqua Painters on. Part of the reason I want to inspire you to purchase the new In Color refills NOW is to avoid the disappointment in 2021 when they are sold out. I know it seems so far off. But then, so did 2019 just 2 short years ago – and then “poof” Lemon Lime Twist refills were gone and I saw over and over that ladies were posting that they had ‘missed out’ on getting them. Don’t let that be you! Get them now – not just to refill your pads, but to use in your art!
Here are some close ups of the card. You can see the splatters, the Wink of Stella and the overstamps of the images.
In preparation for your long shopping list (is yours as long as mine?!) I have posted the Stamps/Bundles/Suites that will be part of the summer series of my free online stamping classes. You can always find the list of classes by going to the banner at the top of this page and hitting the drop down menu – the classes can be found under the Stamping header (there is so much more to see up there – so one day while you are out enjoying the sun….take a while to check out all the other links!)
Knowing what classes will be coming up – this can help you decide what classes you might want to take (they are free!) so it might help you decided what you need to purchase and when. I will be back to the page later next week to update the pictures once the catalog is live – but for now their are not pictures available for me to use. But – check back – there will be Pictures AND Links soon!
September will start stamps and bundles from the Holiday Catalog.
June’s Host code is up on the sidebar. ***In the past I have not included the monthly thank you gift as part of the Free Online Class special – however for June as part of my new Catalog Kick Off – you CAN get the thank you gift!
When shopping ONLINE and using the HOST CODE (found on the right hand side of this post) all orders over $60 placed during June will get a free package of Designer Elements which are featured in today’s video.
