Well – I missed Friday! So – here is a rare Saturday post, tutorial – to be followed with an email later tonight. Yesterday mid morning I had an appointment to get some old old fillings replaced and it ended up being much longer (with more drugs and recovery than anticipated) I had planned. Since I am my own boss by the time I got home – I told myself to take the rest of what was left of the afternoon off (it wasn’t much….)
Welcome to your Saturday tutorial!
This will be a card we do at my Stamp Camp next Friday/Saturday. If you are in the Indy area – you are welcome to attend! Details for that are always in my emails.
I am also extending the sign up for those of you who purchase the Harvest Hellos bundle to join in my online class! For information on how to participate – click here
My WEEKEND special will also be extended since we have gotten off to a late start. In addition to SEPTEMBER’S special (orders over $50 get free Holiday Basic Rhinestones) now through Monday 9pm EST – orders over $100 will also get Copper Dotted Treat Bags! These fun treat bags will pair so well with many of the Autumn images. I will be using them in my Facebook Live this coming Friday! (please note, if you are participating in the Harvest Hellos, then the cost of that bundle does not count toward your freebies (since you are getting the card supplies) however everything over that does!)
Now – back to THIS card. If you follow my tutorials, you know I love using the refills in aqua painters and have done several fun techniques with them.
The color you get is SO vibrant and the bonus that you get is so quickly! I knew when I first saw this set of leaves and pumpkins that I would be coloring them this way. It really starts out as a wash and just turns out into such a pretty marbled look. Don’t we love the colors of fall?!
The method works on watercolor paper or shimmery white. Shimmery white is my go to whenever it’s an option. You can see the shimmer on the images here – so by all means – shimmer wins!
The pumpkins are watercolored with just 2 colors, but by building the colors up it looks like so much more. The stamp set comes with a splatter – and the aquapainters like this give you a second color of splatter too! Such a fun card!
Make sure if you are taking advantage of the weekend special or purchasing the Harvest Hellos for the class to grab the Host Code – located over on your right!
