On this card I had two goals – 1) use my FAVORITE Stampin’ Up! **Newly Released** Blend Color – Gray Granite!!! 2) Keep the colors Light and Airy. The video will show you how to get that color with your Blends but to keep it on the light side.
The card is one that we made at June camp….based off the one we made at my Demonstrator stamp day the day AFTER we got all the new stuff way back in April….that was one crazy, dazy week!! I loved the first card (and the video of it is on my Youtube channel!) but because I had such a large group of ladies over to make it the first time…..I was completely OUT of the pretty pink paper and still had lots of the other sheets to use. Hoarding issues and the giant stack of newly retired paper sitting in my studio caused me to redesign the card with another design from the same pack.
The second time around I went with the smaller die so I could layer it, switched up the ribbon to the woven threads (love, love, love) and added a brighter embellishment.
I am not the only one in love with the birds – here are 3 that I have received from swaps. The top corner was made by my friend Tonya, the bottom 2 I got in Terre Haute at our Leadership event that Stampin’ Up! hosted.
The Granite Blend was just what I was hoping for. The Black and Slate can color pretty dark – this one is light and went with the feel of the card.
