The project I have for you today is so relaxing. It is also one that is impossible to photograph and have look nearly as pretty in a picture as it is in real life – so the video does it a bit better than the photos do.
It was my first time to work with the new Brass Foil – so I give you a good comparison with the Gold Foil. The Brass is WAY more shiny. They are pretty much the same color, but the overall shine factor is totally different.
I used 2 different embossing folders on both the foil and both background pieces of cardstock and DSP. There is a lot of texture going on. But to get an up close picture without the Brass blinding us…not easy, lol.
I was going for an Industrial feel that is so on trend with decorating right now. Mixed metals and textures. There are so many elements in the new catalog that helped to achieve it. Love the concrete paper.
In the video I mention that you can easily mix some gold foil in with the brass – maybe even some copper and more textures with embossing folders. This would make a fantastic home decor piece if you did several sunflowers and used all the papers!

Since today is the LAST day of May – make sure to stop back tomorrow. I will have a new ‘new catalog’ Host Code and all the details for Catalog Kick Off Day. Mark your calendar for our next (and last!) Facebook Group event. At least last ‘regularly scheduled’ one. We did these to fill the need that Covid left when we couldn’t have people in our homes, now here in Indiana at least, that restriction has been lifted. We may pop back together on occasion (maybe when new catalogs come out)….but you don’t want to miss this one – since we KNOW it will be the last for a couple of months at least!

Supplies for TEN projects – and they are great – read all about them!!!
*Each card will have NEW Designer Series Paper, New Ribbon, and at least one new Embellishment. Some cards will include a new die cut, new punch or new piece through a folder. Some card bases will be new In Colors. You will have a chance to see and actually TRY the new product – not just ‘collect’ it as you may have in years past!
*You will need to supply your own ink, small sentiment stamps and punch, die or trimmer to cut our your sayings and adhesives.
The class will be sent to you with a PDF booklet tutorial. There will be sketches to put your projects together, links to the products and pictures of the full sheets of papers in the collections.
The Templates you will get can be easily replicated for years to come – and you will be able to order your favorite full packets of products and recreate all the designs mixing and matching.
Because items are expected to go on Backorder due to Covid AND because we are going away on vacation in June – there will be limited spots for the class available. I can only make so many cards out of a pack of Designer Series Papers! If the class is not full by June 1, then registration will close that night. I will expedite my order and start prepping it to have it mailed to you once we return from our vacation in late June.
You can select to pick up your class from me, have it mailed or if you prefer just the PDF (that option will email to you when the mailed version goes out). The drop down includes all 3 classes.
