Today’s project features the Heart Foil Tins in the new Mini Catalog. Have you noticed them? You can use them to BAKE in (seriously – think of ALL the options you could have for giving fun treats in these, lemon bars, chocolate chip cookies, sticky date pudding, brownies, lava cakes – the options are endless!). You can also fill them with fun snack mixes or any candy.

I wanted to step outside the box – but with something totally on trend. Who has been to a wedding or shower recently where the favor has been a sweet baby succulent? Who has gifted a start to a friend? Getting them home is always a bit of a trick…but these tins have LIDS!

I also didn’t use a traditional valentine set – but the PRE-PRINTED Poppies Elements! Have you seen them? If not, you are in for a treat – watch the video. In the next day or two I will also have a little card for you using them – so check back!

I also combined the images with the Wish For Everything Bundle. Having this bundle on hand means you can use so many of your sets for Holidays. Watch for it to start making appearances on some St Patricks projects! It is a “must have” in my book!

“Coloring” the images on these was nothing more than an image resist wash. Super simple.

Since there is no actual stamping for the flowers – this would be a great project if you are wanting a project to do with friends who think they are not ‘crafty”

And – succulent gifts are all the rage – so darned cute – and so easy to keep – even for those of us not gifted with a green thumb!

You can easily get a head start on Valentine projects and have them ready. If you are baking in the tins – just have the lids ready and once the treats are baked – just pop the lids on when the treats are cooled. If you are giving a succulent then keep the lids off til you give them – they don’t do well in a terrarium type atmosphere, they like it dry.
