March Host Code:

Today will be the last card I make with the Rise & Shine stamp set – Free to You – as part of the Sale-A-Bration release 2! You can get it now through the end of March. This card is also the one we will make from this set at camp this month.
Here is your tutorial!
There are a couple of fun tips in this one. First – there is no Designer Series Paper used. You can use the tiny little stamps to create some super fun backgrounds. The stamps are the Reversables. That gives you even more of the designs to be able to fill in with!

Don’t worry – just start stamping. If you choose light enough colors a little overlap of the images if perfect. I also opted to leave the middle of my design empty. The open space lets the mugs really stand out as the focal point of the card.

In the video you saw I also played with the color choices on the two cards. I often read on stamping boards where stampers say XY color is exactly the SAME as YX color. That is usually because they are stamping XY and then YX and not allowing either to dry. In the video you can watch as I stamp Grapefruit Grove and Petal Pink. When first stamped they ARE almost the same color. Look above the Petal Pink mug here. Once dry – the grapefruit is much more orange and the petal pink has dried to a light pink.
If you are coming to camp – you can head to my Facebook to vote if you prefer the Petal Pink card – seen here –

or the Blushing Bride card – seen here

I will have a little video over there too – sometimes the color of your screen and the pictures are not as true to life. You can see I varied the layers that I used the embossing folder on too.
BUT – don’t let ‘not having a color’ ever keep you from copying a card! You can often switch colors out and while it is a difference – the change can be so slight it’s hardly even noticed!
