I am SO excited about today’s tutorial!!! It’s a little longer than some…but it’s because I make FOUR super fun cards! I was completely inspired by Sara’s Facebook Live this week. When the president of your company shares something so adorable…you run with it, right?!
Here’s Sara’s 4 cards….
Now…let’s see how I switched them up just a tad.
Along the way you got a bunch of ‘mini tutorials’ thrown in, eh?! Some Blends, some punches, and some Cut and Emboss!
As part of World Card Making Day this weekend – my “Weekend Special” is easy!
Any size order placed via my website and you go into a drawing for one of the two sets of Notecards and Envelopes!
To qualify, you must use the Host Code (at the top of the post) and have your order placed by Sunday evening.
All of the cards take advantage of the Notecards and Envelopes. They are pre-cut, pre-scored and come with envelopes. Sara decorated hers….just added coordinating Designer Series Paper to the flaps.
Due to the time I knew my video would take, I left that step out.
All of the cards use just two stamp sets and the one die – Coming Home and Here’s a Card.
The Coming Home set is part of this Holiday’s Catalog giving back series – proceeds from it go to causes working with Adoption, Infertility and Foster Care!!
This card also allowed me to use the Vase Builder Punch…which I have owned since it came out…and never, ever, ever used. Yikes.
But I thought the idea of switching up that bare winter tree to an adorable flower pot was brilliant.
All of the cards also feature Designer Series Papers that are part of the October DSP Sale!
Mine were all SCRAPS pulled from a tub I keep that are pieces of leftovers from all the online classes I cut up.
This piece here is from the Poinsettia paper!! When Christmas is over, you don’t have to put up/throw out all those little leftovers.
The backside of this works perfectly for a new home or engagement card!
Remember I have the fun DSP WREATH FREE online class later this month!! Details on how to participate in that are below.
Many of my favorite papers are part of the sale. I will say, the Plaid has been my very favorite. If you have participated in any of my online classes since it made it’s appearance – you have seen it!
Which means I have TONS of little scraps (plus, it’s 6×6 so getting pieces sized for all of you to use is more of a challenge…making even more scraps!)
It won’t be long til I announce my FAVORITE online class – the upcoming January-June Mini Try It Class – those are my favorite because you get ALL the new papers, ribbons and embellishments to try on around 10 cards. I do expect it to fill up – the last two have – so if you want to be part of the first round – make sure to watch in early November for the announcement of registration.
On Monday I will also have a Curvy Celebrations class that will have sign ups in October for an early ship date in November! Those videos will be posting next week!
