Welcome to today’s installment of the Holiday catalog kick off tour! I hope you are enjoying it. What has been your favorite so far? It has been keeping me on my toes – that’s for sure. Too bad typing and stamping don’t burn more calories!! Today’s special: Purchase $100 in merchandise on my website and get the stamp set “ A Wonderful Life” absolutely FREE. Isn’t THAT wonderful? The only conditions – you need to order by midnight EST Sept 5 and you must use the hostess code 2MVRWQRT. Now, go see all the fun ways you can use your free set.
The set is designed with the old car as the focal point and then it comes with 18 other pieces to design to make the scenes to surround it. Super easy – since it is photopolymer. Lining it up isn’t an issue at all. You might want to use your foam pad underneath – which will always ensure your photopolymer works well everytime you stamp with it.
There are pieces that can be scenes for Christmas, Autumn and Wedding – but the creative among us will also see moving, summer, adventures and more. Are those gifts or suitcases? A Christmas tree or pine trees in the mountains? The road to life or the road to a trip? See what I mean?
When I first got my stack of stamps from the Holiday catalog – this was the first set I went for. So – stamp wise I went for the obvious. Paper wise – on these two cards – this is the Designer Series Paper that is part of what is with the new baby stamps in the catalog – but it works (well!) with the autumn themed car – and perfect with the bridal one.
While we don’t have our watercolor pencils in all of our colors – blending the colors can get you the shades to match. I did to a little better with the matching in the one to the right. The one to the left is the card you will see me make in the video and you know how it is when someone is “watching” you – and (double whammy) I feel the need to go fast. But – tips for the pencils – pressing with different pressures and mixing colors – you will find you have an endless palette of colors to chose from.
The ribbon on this one is also from the Holiday catalog and was part of the freebies earlier on (were you one of the lucky ones to snag it then?!) It adds a nice bit of contrast and a feminine touch. While a little hard to see in the pictures, the cans do have a touch of stella. You know, its a weddding – and they sparkle!
