When I started on Thursday morning my goal had been to do 3 or 4 cards using the new list of surprise products that Stampin’ Up! had given us that were now eligible to be FREE as part of Sale-A-Bration. If you have followed along with this ‘series’ – you know that didn’t quite happen. As it is – I owned everything but the designer paper (sorry, the poodle in that paper…just doesn’t do it for me). I had already used the Glimmer Paper in 4 of my camp cards, knew the dies would be an easy project – wanted to do something ‘baby’ with the sweater die – I jotted down about 12 ideas!
Then I started with this set of dies. I made that first card. My “scrap” piece ended up being such a beautiful background that no way could it NOT end up as card #2. I had scrap glimmer paper all over my table from camp the weekend before (and shhhh but I also had the foil – so there are also dies cut with this same design IN FOIL with brusho….just laying there. But for time….) After I put the brusho ON THE GLIMMER how could I NOT make this card? Sometimes our art just takes us.
The video will show you how it’s done – watch it tiny here or larger and in HD on my Cheri’s Cards YouTube Channel
The leaves were cut with the straight glimmer paper. The flowers all colored with Brusho. The Glitter Enamel Dots seriously look like they are made from the exact same materials. Same colors, Same shimmer – it is amazing.
You need to make this card yourself just so you can see it in REAL life, lol.
If you have resisted the urge to get this die and still can say no – I just do not see how! Once again, this card does not even use the stamps in the bundle – dies only – not a stamp on the card (sometimes that does make me feel like I am cheating!)
Anyone who places a $65 order or more today on my WEBSITE and uses the Hostess Code KEN7WNVM at check out – will be sent a packet of the Glitter Enamel Dots in mid April once I have returned from my trip!
And don’t forget – the Luck of the Irish contest continues through this month –
win a Free Stamparatus before they are available to the public!
