Today’s tutorial is a fun one! I did the card for our weekly online demonstrator meetings that we do for a Facebook group. Most weeks we have a theme, this week we were all crazy busy and in lieu of a theme, it was just whatever……
Part of the reason we are busy is that we are preparing for a Demonstrator Training event we have coming up. I am doing a session on Big Shots – so I pulled out a Stamp and Die bundle that I have not used {yet} {at all} since I purchased it {when this Annual Catalog was new}. I won’t be doing it at our event – BUT I will be doing it for my April Camp!
You will need to watch the video to see exactly how it’s done. It is not hard or complicated – there are just a few steps and Lots of Fun products that might often sit neglected on your craft shelves that you will use on it.
BUT – the results, as you can see, are so pretty! Stampin’ Up! is doing a #simplestamping challenge right now. Simple Stamping does have it’s place, for sure. But, there are so many of us, who have been stamping for a long time {decades!}, have a lot of stuff and/or just love to get lost in the craft as we create. So, for us, I am starting a second # for our group – #stampinart When you create a card that isn’t simple, but lovely and you got lost in the creating of it – share it with that hashtag. It will give everyone else who hasn’t used their Brusho in a while inspiration to pull them back out and have a go!
Because – look at the bird in JUST the blue brusho! It looks like Stained Glass.
Raise your hand if you bought the Embossing Mat for your Big Shot and have yet to use them?! Or – were they on your wish list and then you looked and wished you remembered WHY you wanted them?! Look at the magic they create with one easy pass through your Big Shot on the corner of this card.
Those of you attending Camp with me in April – try to find a few minutes before you come to watch the video. It will help you know the steps needed to complete the project. I did have to do them in some funky order for taping purposes – but I will help you reverse those around at camp. If you are in the Indy area and want to come create with us – you are always welcome. April Camp is the 26/27th. You get the most up to date information when you are on my email list.
You can find the Host Code for April’s orders along the side of the posts….because my website has finally migrated over to the NEW ONE! Can you tell?! There are new links along the top, the bottom and along the edges! Now the Host Code will stay put in easy reach all the time!
{March Thank You cards and gift will be mailing out early next week!}
When the site when live on April 1 my intent was to do this month’s special as part of the Stampin’ Storage – but supplies are nearly out for the first shipment of storage items. More are coming and they will be in the next catalog, so if you missed the first go around, sit tight. I WILL do a special when more are available. If you watched whatever taping I did on April 1, you know {no joke} the website wasn’t letting me upload pictures, so I wasn’t able to post anything. That’s fixed – so here is your April Thank You Gift. *** Each week there is also some kind of prize drawing associated with the new website launch – stay tuned for THOSE!
