I have a fun card for you today featuring a bundle from the new Annual Catalog.

This sweet set has a beautiful coneflower stamp and some really nice birthday sentiments.  Let’s take a look at the set and all the dies in the tutorial.

 

The bundle offers two ways to show off a coneflower- you can stamp it like I did here or you can use the dies and ‘build’ a coneflower, even layering the petals.

I used the die that creates a small card on top.  This can also make a little gift card.  The leaves are both stamped and cut with gold foil for highlights.

I was short on time so I fell back on one of my tried and true techniques.  It’s also a very striking one.  Watercolor pencils on Crumb Cake cardstock (no water – just straight coloring) – the white pencil helps the color just pop off the page.

The gold thread, sequins and heat embossed dots add a bit of elegance.  I would get the stamp set for the lovely birthday sentiment alone.
