Over here in my little corner of the world, there is so much going on. Moving, renovations, so many Drs (for so many family members) – and in the midst of all of it – glorious Autumn. Trying to cram it all in and not let the busy-ness nor the potential of things rob us of any Fall Joy. Right? That’s what life is – all the color, sunshine and family in the midst of #allthethings. My busy life has been a tad busier than normal. I posted a YouTube video the other day without an accompanying blog entry. I rarely do that. So, in this one – you are getting TWO tutorials in just one post. Just rolling with life the way it’s coming at me!
This first card was an October camp project and we used the new Stampin’ Up! paper trimmer. Actually in the video you get to see me use it. For. the. very. first. time. I had made the original card with my old trimmer and should have thought through using it on camera before ever having used it before. #rollwithlife Lol. Verdict is in. Love the trimmer. Will be available to customers soon – and it is at a great price point, with MUCH improved blades!
The card was inspired by one my friend Susan had made. So super simple.
I managed to use all of the elements of the Come To Gather suite. I did not intend to when I started – but that’s how it turned out. Loved it!
The entire thing was then spritzed with Delicata copper refill.
The Delicata pads are back in stock! Just in time to finish off all your autumn projects and get rolling on your Christmas ones!!
So – there you have project number 1…….
Tutorial number 2 finishes off the series of mixing the Snowfall Accent Puff Paint and Pigment Sprinkles to create some stunning DIY suede flannel.
For this card I let it dry overnight and then ran it through the die cutting machine with the Come To Gather dies. Again – not planned – but both of these projects use the same overall pieces. Such versatility! Imagine what you can do for your Thanksgiving table with them!!
The cards also use the Dyed Tulle Ribbon from last week’s tutorial. you can see the Peacock and the Cajun on these cards.
