Today’s tutorial is all about the art of stamping. Sometimes we stamp to make cards for others and sometimes we stamp to escape into the craft we love. This card is so much fun to make and when you are done you can turn it in to a fabulous card or even a framed piece to give to someone you love!
Let’s go!
Isn’t that fun? If I wasn’t so busy these weeks I could do several of these and just keep adding more and more layers of color!
There are lots of tips and tricks in the tutorial – but the 2 most important are:
Watercolor paper is a MUST! Any other of our cardstocks simply won’t hold up to all those layers
The second is the use of the Stamparatus.
It allows for that great base color underneath your final design.
I didn’t list colors in the shopping list because you CAN use any combination of colors that you have! Imagine the flowers in pinks or purples!
I intentionally chose 3 greens that are not even close in spectrum to give it the depth of color. And that blue? It’s just Balmy! But the layering and adding water give it several different shades.
I hope you try this!! The technique will be covered in an upcoming Retreat!
If you want to try a MONOCHROMATIC card with the same set – then check out my daughter’s tutorial!
