If you haven’t heard…we are in the midst of wedding season here!
Labor Day weekend my daughter hosted (and I helped) a shower for a dear family friend. We have known her for most of her life.
This past weekend was my nephew’s wedding….then after this upcoming wedding in October all of the showers and full planning begin for my daughter’s February wedding.
Today’s tutorial was filmed before “wedding week” and is Kayla’s shower card.
One of the things I love about our Designer Series Papers is the way both sides can be utilized. When it comes to all of the Holidays – the “other” side is most often non holiday specific.
In the case of the Joy of Christmas DSP, I used the flip side to create this wedding shower card.
If you pulled it up, it would reveal a very Christmas paper, but no one who gets the card would ever know! So – buy the paper you love for your Holiday needs, then flip it over to use the rest of the year. In fact, these leaves are so pretty that I would purchase the paper for that piece alone!!
Since this card was for a shower, I wanted to keep the “bride” the illusion. This was perfect by adding her under the vellum. Vellum is also always a great choice when you want to tone down the busier patterns of DSP.
