Today I FINALLY get around to kicking off my How To Series! I anticipate this series will go for several weeks as I add 1 – 2 videos every week on the basics of using lots of the tools of stamping and crafting. I have taken several requests already, if you have made one – know that it’s on list and will be coming! If you have something you want to see, by all means let me know and if it is not on the list I will be happy to add it!
Want to know how this made it first on my list? I noticed at a recent in person event that some of the stampers were using their Stellas but had not taken off the ‘safety’ ring that prevents leaking during shipping. Whoops. There are instructions in the packaging, but we like to get right to that sparkle and not spend time reading the folded paper….so I start from the very beginning as we take it out and get that glitter ink flowing!
Once you have your brush tip nicely primed, we discuss the ways you can use the stella and care for your brush.
You can use it as a substitute for water when using Watercolor Pencils or coloring with ink pads or refills.
You can splatter it directly onto your cardstock. In the video we just discuss techniques so I throw together 2 quick cards with the things I colored, but this technique is particularly lovely on darker cardstocks….stay tuned I have an ‘inspired by’ card coming up and will show you!
You can brush it directly on your cardstock.
You can also color over images that have you have stamped on to cardstock. This way the stella picks up the slightest tint from the ink.
At the moment the Stella pins are on low inventory. You will find so many ways to use them with your Holiday Stamping…so go NOW and grab a couple! I even give you some tips on how to use them once the fluid is gone!
