Today you are going to see how incredibly easy it is to build a peony flower from just FOUR little cut pieces of paper! I kid you not, it’s so simple!
I told you! Fabulous, isn’t it?!
I wanted a bright flower, so I googled Peony images and then chose one to work with – here is the one I found:
The yellow and pink was calling to me, so I went with Daffodil cardstock and magenta sponging.
I think it worked very well!
To help achieve the crepey look that this peony had I ran all the ‘petals’ through the Ornate World Paper Folder so I didn’t have to do all the crimpling up on my own.
I added a bit of dyed ribbon (one of my gifts for July with purchase!) and some leaves. Then it’s all layered on an Ornate Layer die. I did a thicker version so it would not have the holes but make an actual frame for my flowers.
Remember that in July you get Bonus Bucks from Stampin’ Up! as well as my July Specials. Add a couple of extras on to your medley and you will have $10 ready for free in August! At the bottom of this post you will find the link for the Boho Medley and some suggested add ons!
