I hope you are enjoying my little series on quick Wow cards! I have another one for you today!
So often the one thing that can really take a card from 15 minutes to 40 is the coloring process. Don’t get me wrong. Many of us enjoy this craft form simply because of our love of coloring, right?
Raise your hand if nothing brought you more joy as an 8 year old that new pack of 64 Crayola’s all standing at attention! (Can you still smell them? Did you immediately organize them into color families? Ah….if so, you found your calling early!)
But, as much fun as our 8 year old selves thought being a grown up would be – it comes with lots of time stealing responsibilites.
While there are days when the therapy of coloring and simply getting lost in all.those.succulent.leaves.greens.purples.pinks sounds like heaven….
Sometimes we just need some cards. Fast.
I kept this card all shades of fabulous pink. Rococco Rose ink, Love You Always Foil. Champagne Shimmer paint and Rhinestones.
Then added just the tiniest touch of Seafoam.
Thanks to the Blending Brushes the coloring process takes mere seconds, not lots and lots of glorious coloring minutes.
I tried to reverse options with cardstock. Both are lovely. I intentionally left random pieces of foil in for the extra shimmer. Although the die works so well, it wasn’t as easy as you might hope!
Now – back to finish off the last couple of videos for this weekend’s retreat. There they are getting a nice mix of 10 minute cards…and a couple where they get to color! Because stamping is all about the options.
